3-30-24 Saginaw Bay fishing report. Pre spawn bite is on. Lots of fish staging in the inner Bay. 12 to 24 feet of water is hold fish. Water temperature is in the mid 30's. The wind has been keeping many boats off the big water, but when you can get out, it's game on. Big baits have been the ticket. Deep Bandits, PWC crankbaits, Deep Husky Jerk 12s, and 14s. Painted base colors early, late, and cloudy days. Chrome based Color mid day with the sun out. Water is still cold, so slow speeds are the key. 1.1 to 1.5 mph. Running Offshore Planer Boards gets those baits out the side and helps cover more water. Spend some time running and marking fish at speed before you commit to a program. You can fish all day with the right bait, color, speed, and depth and not get a bite if the fish aren't there. Find the fish diving at speed first.
Have dates still available for April, May, and June on Saginaw Bay
