Curtis Area Fishing Report

Fall has been doing great in the Curtis area. On Manistique Lake Perch and walleye fishing has been great when trolling Fire tiger, blue, pink, and purple seem to be the colors that are working best. Trolling and drifting body baits or crawler harnesses over submerged weed beds seem to be producing the best fishing opportunities if you're looking for numbers of fish but do not be turned off from the deeper water as fish are starting to fall into cold weather patterns. Pike fishing has become very good with this cold weather. Spinners and bigger profile baits are producing bigger and more Northern Pike. Focus on the weed edges and you will find some of the biggest pike the lake has to offer.
