Houghton Lake Fishing Report

In these times of uncertainty the one privileged we have been awarded is the freedom to get into the outdoors. My family has been doing just that and have found the rewards bountiful. The ice is off the lakes in Central Northern Michigan and the panfish and bass are feeding up. Fish are making the annual migration into the shallows and backwaters following spawning perch and baitfish. On warm sunny days fish are found shallow and active, only backing off into the closest adjacent deep holes when the weather is foul. Adjusting your presentation accordingly will lead to greater success.
