The fishing out of the port of Mackinaw City up by the bridge has been nothing short of fantastic. We trolled between shore and Boblo Island, we trolled in the 40 foot depth range with a group of Dreamweaver super slims in bright colors on gold base. We couldn’t keep the fish off the lines in the morning, it was outstanding both in the numbers of fish as well as the size. The strike zone seem to be in the bottom 10 feet of the water. If you’re looking for outstanding early-season fishing. Mackinaw City is crazy
