June 8 2020-Indian River
Fishing on Burt and Mullet Lakes is in full swing after the warm weather. Smallmouth bass are up and bedding and are very aggressive. I spent a day last week running edges with a Strike King 3.75 Rage Swimmer and really caught some nice fish. Natural colors like, Tennessee shad and AYU seemed to be the best. As bass come off the beds they'll be roaming the edges again so targeting the breaks in 5-10' will work for most all of June. The walleye are starting to bite as well with most guys trolling Flicker Minnows in the "Lo Light" times of the day. Work the breaks on the edges of main lake points and entry edges to the bays. The fish will move along these structures for the rest of summer. If you are looking to get a guided trip, Jon at MFM Sportfishing can get you out. Good Luck!
