Trout fishing has been excellent in the past weeks. With more great fishing to come. The recent spike in water levels have made it tough but the rivers will be back to normal in a couple days. With the high water, streamers are the name of the game with yellow and chartreuse being the leading colors. Mousing at night has been excellent up until the high water and I’m sure it will resume in a couple days once water levels return to summer flows. Now that water temps have cooled down a little, another option is hopper fishing during the daylight. Terrestrials can be a riot in the afternoon, followed by a couple hours of mousing after dark.
