9-14-20 Sault Sainte Marie fishing report.
The Pinks are in big time. A limit in an hour is not difficult some days. You need to get to the power plant and hang on the wall or drift out from the wall using Swedish pimples or blade baits. Start with pink or orange and switch up colors till you find the hot color.
Steelhead are also being picked up trolling for Chinooks and Atlantics out in the main channel. A variety of baits from crank baits , spoons , J-plugs and Dodgers and flies are producing. Colors depend on the day and sunshine.
Some Whitefish are starting to be picked up with the Pinks behind the power plant also.
Walleyes are moving up in the main channel of the St. Mary's. Trolling with the currant with bottom bouncers and harnesses or Rapala floaters is picking up some nice eyes. Also some nice fish have been taken by jigging.
The time is now till ice up to be on some nice fish in the Soo.
