Mackinaw City Area Fishing Report

Fishing out of Mackinaw City towards the south is firing on all cylinders now. The water is touching 40 degrees and the slot between the mainland and the island is holding lots of fish. I caught nice fish on the south half of the island in 50-60' My best producing sets were the copper rods at either 75' or 125' with bright colors of Dreamweaver Super Slims. Speed was 2.4 and the sun definitely helped. This bite will hold for at least a month
