Fishing continues to be goog on Houghton Lake and on Lake Mitchell. Fish are still hanging out around the outside weedbeds in 12to 14 foot of water. Lee rigs continue to be the go to lures running them 25 to 35 foot behind a planer board at 1.4 mph. Some fish have been caught on flickershads in the deeper 16 foot of water contours. A perch pattern in green or firetiger has been the most productive trolling at 2.3 mph 35 and 45 foot behind the boards. A lot of the walleye this week have been spitting up 3 inch perch. Adapting to that feeding pattern will help catch more fish. Water temp is still 73 degrees on both lakes so fishing should be good all week.
