fishing report 2-8-21
While the the weather turned cold and snowy the pan fishing in South Central Lower remains hot, hot, hot! I actually started off the week under the weather and missed a few days on the ice that were sunny and beautiful! So you can imagine come Wednesday I was dying to hit the ice! I headed to a lake I had not really been on yet this year this. After looking at Navionics I decided to start in a gradually slopping cove that was south facing. Why is south facing something to look for? It receives the most sunlight and usually has the most prevalent weeds. I started up a little more shallow and continued to gradually work my way down the slope until I found a great school of bluegills and crappie. Once I got my color, size/style of bait, and cadence dialed in, they were definitely willing to come up and smack on some Micro plastics from Judge's Jaw Jackers on 4mm tungsten Fatboy Jigs.
