4-24-21 Huron-Vermilion
Captain Jason Harr
Loaded Rod Charters out of Huron Ohio area report.
Walleye are definitely on the feed, still catching a few walleye that have not spawned yet. The bite on the reefs are still going, purple and yellow hair jigs with stingers are producing well, as well as blade baits and pink jigs with 4†purple split tails and stingers.
Around the reefs and the Cans in front of camp Perry, the Huron Dump to Vermillion bandits are putting lots of 3-6 pound walleye in the boat, blue/chrome with 30-35’ leads and dark green or purple leads a hit deeper 65’-100’ back. Speeds from 1.5-1.7 mph and sometimes as fast as 2.0 are producing.
A few steel head are also being caught near Vermilion with 35’ leads on blue/chrome and lime green bandits.
