St Clair Shores Area Fishing Report

5-24-21 Lake St Clair
Rolled into Lake St.Clair Wednesday to start pre-fishing for the May Madness walleye tournament. Put a few different patterns together between the upper Detroit River and the Lake. Both programs involved bottom bouncers and crawlers. We caught some great fish in the river between 26-30 fow from the Coast Guard Station down to the Ren Cen, pulling no.4 Walleye Nation Creation spinners on 3oz bouncers. But the better bite we found and have been on has been out in the main Lake on the Dumping Grounds. Running up and down the humps pulling 2oz bouncers and no. 4 and 5 Colorado blades has been great! Lots of perch in the mix along with 30+ walleye a day. The walleye are feeding on the perch so keep that in mind when selecting your bait colors. As far as speed 1.3-1.5 is where I tried to keep it...
