Well we recovered from the opener and things are rolling along here at Meta lake. The fishing is flat out, nothing short of stupid good. Almost every angler in camp has had an awesome time catching tons of walleye and northern pike. Amazingly some very good catches of yellow perch have also been coming in, although their location moves from day to day, and predicting where they will be is very tough. As usual the bite is going well using plastics tips tipped with minnows as well as crank baits. The Fish location throughout the lake has been shallow to start the season. Obviously hear in the north is no different than anywhere in the country, and it was a cooler than average early season. This early-season cooler weather has kept the fish very accessible in the shallows and everybody is having a ball up here at camp just pounding on them. Of course, Cheryl has the camp running in fine fashion and the food is absolutely outstanding as always. Don't forget to check in with us as we may have a very very limited number of spots available yet this year but most weeks are booked up. If you want to get in on this action for next year, call as soon as possible, things usually book well in advance.
