Oscoda Area Fishing Report

5-7-24 Oscoda area AuSable River. Steelhead bite has remained good with occasional Atlantic salmon floating bobbers with spawn working very well. Smallmouth bass bite has been excellent.
AuSable River mouth. The walleye bite has been improving. Slow trolling Boogie shads and mag lips 50’ behind planer boards. Trolling speed 1.2 - 1.5. A few lakers have been caught using the same gear.
Off shore Lake Huron. Excellent lake trout fish in 60-70’ of water. Trolling spin n glows/dodgers 50’ down. Jr Silver Steaks also working well.
