Port Clinton Ohio Bays Edge Condos Area Fishing Report

5-28-24 Port Clinton Ohio Now's the time to come up and go fishing. Fishing is phenomenal right now with limit catches going on. Lake Erie is on fire right now with walleye. Bring your own boat or book a charter. Plenty of fish are being caught. The casting bite is strong right now, NW of Kelley's Island and NW of Niagara Reef. Weapons are the lure of choice with a 3/4 oz weight. These fish are not deep, with only a 10 to 15 count and slow on the swing. They are still getting a few off the bottom with a slow retrieve. Trollers have been doing phenomenal as well with plenty of places to choose from. Here are a few to start with NW of Niagara, NW of Kelley's Island, 2 miles north of Cedar Point Dumping grounds and the Canadian line. Tru-Trips and spoons have been doing well for the trollers 30 to 40 back. The fishing right now has been an early morning bite and fast. We can't forget
about the other local fishery in our backyard, which is the Sandusky Bay, for its catfishing
which has been heating up as well from the shore and the catfish charters. The bait will vary from the of the year, and right now, they are liking shrimp.
