We fished right off rattlesnake island in 33.6 fow. Fishing was hot from 9-4. Swedish pimple-blue crush, chrome/blue do jigger tipped with a minnow. Jigging raps worked as well.
Make sure you were paying close attention to the wind and the temperatures when you fish around the islands. We found safe ice, but it can change very quickly with the wrong direction and wind and a little warm weather. Just happy that we got out and I've been catching fish on the ice for the first time in a long time. Have fun .
